Punctual but essential operations

These two actions took place in December on Christmas Eve

Our objectives were as follows

  • To provide our support, however slight, to organisations working for the well-being of disadvantaged children

  • To enable the development of numerous skills for the benefit of young children who are sometimes neglected

  • To encourage artistic activities based on recycling

  • To encourage teamwork and initiative

  • To support the following sustainable

    • Quality education

    • Gender equality

    • Reduced inequalities

    • Responsible consumption and production

The volunteers involved

  • A group of 26 volunteers for our intervention in Nadi El Salam

  • A group of 22 volunteers for our intervention in the kindergarten of El Nour Wal Amal

2 directly related stages

1st action

In mid-December, we organised a Christmas buffet and a sale of products made by the Champions of the Slums organisation.

As an immediate follow-up to this initiative, a half-day of activities is organised at the kindergarten in the Torah neighbourhood: making pompons and Christmas cards with various materials, most of which are recycled, colouring and painting, and a puppet theatre workshop. A snack is also offered to the children to end their school day.

2nd action

In parallel and still on Christmas Eve, we lead a half-day of activities with young blind children taken care of by the organisation El Nour Wal Amal, whose brothers and sisters were also invited for the occasion. The idea remained the same - Christmas cards, games and puppet theatre. At the end of this time together, we also gave the children a Christmas bag and made a humble donation to the kindergarten to buy educational material.

Further developments

It is very important for all of us to continue and to expand these initiatives as much as possible, even if they do not necessarily fit into an annual project.
