A particularly supportive environment

There are many initiatives, at all levels, to encourage, in the long term, a real integration of young disabled people.

Unwavering determination and extraordinary courage have led to significant advances in the rights of persons with disabilities in Egyptian society

Our work started in 2019…

2019, October:

  • Dr Shahira AbdelRahman speaks at LFC to a class of 8th graders for an awareness raising session

  • The pupils concerned were to become ambassadors within the school but the restrictions of 2020 did not allow the project to be completed

2020, February:

  • However, some volunteer high school students visit the school in New Cairo and learn more about autism. The March sports events were cancelled.

  • At Christmas, because we were unable to engage with the school children, we organised sales of items produced by the school children at a bazaar in Madinty

2021, April: During a week at the LFC, several activities are offered to exchange and discuss the difficulties faced by young people with disabilities in our societies. This campaign also gave us the opportunity to highlight the successes and achievements already completed.
